Our Story
Hayward Wright started life back in 2007 when Alistair Hayward-Wright launched the firm from his bedroom in Redditch, Worcestershire.
Being part of a family of entrepreneurs, Alistair was always destined to start a business, but his passion to start a new practice came from seeing how clients needed more than the standard accountancy support.
He spotted an opportunity to provide a proactive service where they could work with their accountant as an extension of their team and get access to support and advice that was more than just numbers – and so Hayward Wright was born.
Our journey
Since the firm started in 2007, a lot has changed. We have grown consistently over the years, adding more and more services and new talent, investing in software and technology, and building a reputation as a firm that focuses on added value, being a trusted adviser for its clients and supporting the wider professional network.
Fast forward to today, we have a team of more than 33 chartered accountants and business advisers who look after more than 1,500 clients across our offices in Redditch, Worcester, and Cannock.

Since then, we have grown to become a leading accountancy firm in the region.
Firm is launched by Alistair Hayward-Wright
We launch our Worcester office
Our first trainee is recruited
Complete our first acquisition, giving us presence in Solihull
Chloe Blackwell promoted to our first director role
Launch of the Hayward Wright Way with Danton HR
Achieved our ‘Investment in People’ Gold award
Highly commended in ‘Employer of the Year’ Chamber Awards
Recruited two new apprentices
Acquired Ansell Munden in Cannock
Acquired Wharfside Accountancy in Birmingham City Centre
Merged with Auker Rhodes to establish the Hayward Wright brand in Leeds and Yorkshire
