Payroll Administrator

Our growing payroll bureau has a vacancy for a full time payroll administrator.   The successful candidate will join an exciting and friendly team where flexible working times and locations are possible.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing end to end payroll. 
  • Statutory payments - Statutory Sick Pay, Statutory Maternity Pay, PAYE and National Insurance etc.
  • Processing of Year End procedures.
  • Handling pension submissions
  • Provide 1st line support for payroll queries.
  • Liaise with HMRC when required.
  • Process Tax Code changes.

Qualifications, Skills and Personal Qualities

  • 6-12 months' experience working in a busy payroll function.
  • Grade C and above at GCSE English & Maths.
  • Ability to work on own initiative, working within a team and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to multi-task. 

The Package

  • Salary £18,000 to £22,000 depending on experience

Apprentice Accountant

We have the opportunity for 3 trainees to join our friendly and progressive accounts team.  We will support all of the successful candidates to study towards their own AAT qualification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Using Xero and Sage to post purchase invoices, sales invoices, complete bank reconciliations, review and build up a Trial Balance..
  • Preparing VAT returns on time and that accounts are up to date at all times.
  • Facilitate the outsourced book-keeping service we provide.
  • Support Accounts Manager in delivering all basic compliance accounting work and queries

Qualifications, Skills and Personal Qualities

  • 5 GCSE’s grade A-C or equivalent, including Maths and English
  • Ability to work on own initiative, working within a team and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to multi-task
  • A positive and determined attitude
  • Excellent attention to detail
