Once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for entrepreneurs to pitch to Sir Richard Branson
Virgin Media Pioneers – the online community for entrepreneurs – has launched a nationwide search to find Britain’s best start-up, with the most the impressive pitching to Sir Richard Branson.
The peer-to-peer network, founded by Virgin Media, supports more than 6,000 young people, and will provide the winners with a prize package including £5,000 of investment plus mentoring, legal, branding and marketing advice.
The Innovation Award will go to a successfully trading small technology businesses looking to make the next leap forward, and the winner will be offered free enrolment to the Accelerator Academy – an established 12-week, high-growth training and mentoring programme for digital entrepreneurs.
Sir Richard Branson, founder of the Virgin Group, said: “Starting a business with very little capital is something I can relate to but with a little backing early on and the right idea, anything is possible. I’m looking forward to meeting more of Britain’s best young entrepreneurs through the Start Up Award.
